I’m in a lull this week.
My usual “get up and go” is more like “are you sure you want to do that right now?”
And it’s 100% ok.
I’ve created structure around the things that are most important to me right now so that I don’t tank when my motivation inevitably wanes.
Weeks like this used to be the beginning of a long backslide to my old comfort zone habits.
But now I view them as a time when I just need to add a little more grit to my day to day to keep things moving forward.
Totally doable.
Here’s why this matters.
Following through on what we say we’re going to do is how we build self-trust. Every time we stop, postpone, or put off what matters to us, it erodes away at our confidence.
Over time, we stop believing we are capable of living the life we want.
Learning to stay the course, even on days we don’t necessarily feel up for it, fundamentally transforms our beliefs about who we are.
In working with hundreds of clients these past few years, the greatest transformations happen once someone is able to trust themselves to do the things they say they are going to do, big or small.
This is why I am so passionate about helping people identify and heal the obstacles that prevent them from believing in their innate abilities.
It’s the gateway to transformation.
And it’s nearly impossible to identify and move through on our own.
