As I reflect on 2021, I’m in awe of all that has transpired – for me personally, for my clients, and in the world. I experience quite a range of emotions when I take it all in – grief, joy, loneliness, hope, anger, relief, and underpinning it all – gratitude.
Even though I sometimes wish life was filled only with ease and comfort, I know that some chapters of our life are meant to be more difficult so we can grow and step into a stronger version of ourselves. For all the growth, however challenging, I am grateful.
With that in mind, I want to offer a few resources to support you in this final stretch of the year.
The holidays can stir all kinds of emotions in us, and in my experience these are the times when we want to double down on our efforts to stay grounded so we can navigate all that comes our way this month.
For the body…
One of the changes I’ve made in my life with the best ROI is drinking less alcohol (read more about the benefits of cutting back here). I typically have a flavored seltzer in my glass when socializing, and recently I’ve been making a few festive mocktails as well – a big hit with my sober-curious friends too. Highly recommend this one from Liz Moody, healthy food and lifestyle blogger – a great account to follow on insta if you’re not already!
For the mind…
I’m big into podcasts lately, and loved this episode from Mark Groves. His guest Gangaji talks about “getting more sober” not just from alcohol, but from all the distractions that pull us away from who we truly are. A great listen for anyone finding themselves reaching for an extra snack or stuck in a late-night scrolling habit, especially this season.
For the heart and YOU…
Give yourself the opportunity to try one-on-one coaching with me, or consider joining the interest list for my January small group coaching program. If you’re not sure where to start, or not sure if coaching is even what you need right now, sign up for a 20-minute call with me so we can make a game plan for next steps (which may very well include outside referrals and resources, of which I have tons!). Book your call here.
Thank you for your continued support of this work, and wishing you all a happy, healthy holiday season.
